Bryan’s Favourite Albums of 2013

Our staff lists are coming to a close but we’ve saved the best for (nearly) last.  The cool kid in the office – by Pitchfork standards of course – has listed his 10 Favourite Albums of 2013 along with the 10 singles that dominated his Rdio plays. See the best of Bryan “the closer” Columbus, Marketing & Label Manager at MapleMusic Recordings & Fontana North below.

1. Son Lux – Lanterns

I’m convinced that this new Son Lux record is from the future. Composer Ryan Lott (aka Son Lux) somehow manages to re-invent the way that many other artists have been trying to experiment and cross genres. This album manages to simplify a complex mix of everything from hip-hop to alt rock to classical to electro-pop… something that would come of a Yeasayer and Clams Casino collaboration in the year 2020. – Bryan Columbus
