Nick Carter is gearing up for the release of his third studio album, All American, on March 11th via MapleMusic Recordings in Canada. In advance of the release, he has debuted the nostalgic single “19 in 99″, a lively and wildly catchy song that recalls his glory days as part of the best-selling boy band of all time: the Backstreet Boys. The single was released with an accompanying music video, brilliantly rife with all the appropriate cultural tropes from the turn of the millennium including a cameo from BSB’s A. J. McLean.

“If you want to make something that’s like nothing you’ve made before, then you have to shake yourself up, go beyond what’s comfortable and known and let yourself feel disoriented, overwhelmed, even intimidated. Those moments, where you lose your bearings, where you’re forced to sink or swim, are the moments where you have an opportunity to rise to the occasion, to surprise yourself, to do the things you didn’t know you could do. That’s what making this album was for me, I’m so proud of the process, and I’m so proud of the result.” – Peter Katz
JUNO nominated singer-songwriter Peter Katz, who recently signed a label deal with Maple Music Recordings/Fontana North, announced today the March 31 release of his brand new album “We Are The Reckoning”. Katz announced the release in addition to the premiere of the albums lead single and video “Brother”. Royal Wood).
Three years in the making “We Are The Reckoning” follows 2012’s “Still Mind Still” which paved the way for three successful national and international tours. The new album, documents the evolution of Katz’s artistic vision and the realization that he needed to make a change and progress creatively in order to be heard with fresh ears, for the ‘first time’ – again.
Austin psychedelic rock outfit The Bright Light Social Hour announces the release of their sophomore album, Space Is Still the Place on March 10, 2015 via MapleMusic Recordings and Frenchkiss Records. The 10-track collection was written, performed, produced and engineered by the band at their home studio in Austin, TX, and mixed by Chris Coady (Beach House, TV On The Radio, Future Islands).
The Bright Light Social Hour convened while Curtis Roush and Jack O’Brien attended graduated school together at the University of Texas in Austin. Following graduation, they released their first self-titled LP in 2010. In the months and years that followed, their songs won over their hometown, and they scored an unprecedented six awards at the SXSW 2011 Austin Music Awards.
Space is Still the Place encompasses the idea of a “Future South,” which was developed by the band after touring across the country, heavily in the South, over the last few years. While on the road, the band usually stayed with people in various cities instead of hotels and gained a new perspective on the struggle young Americans faced after experiencing it first-hand.
“Impossibly cool.” — Vogue
“Arena-ready atmospherics and bombastic hooks…
it’s a thrilling, sophisticated new direction.” — Consequence Of Sound
“Brilliantly catchy.” — SPIN
Ex Cops, the Brooklyn-based duo comprised of Amalie Bruun and Brian Harding, recently released their sophomore LP, Daggers, and the video for its latest single, ‘White Noise,’ premiered exclusively today at Paper Magazine.
The band describes the video’s concept as, “almost like a social experiment. The song is about longing for something pure in a dark place, and about the wish to silence the noise of the world and the voices in your head. So we wanted to have teenagers in our video, because kids are more pure than most grownups. And we wanted them to just dance and fight and lose it and do whatever they felt like, while we performed the song for them.”
