New Releases – Language Arts ‘Wonderkind’ & Kaiser Chiefs ‘Education, Education, Education and War’

Toronto’s Kristen Cudmore makes her MMR debut as Language Arts with the new album ‘Wonderkind’. Recorded with Grammy-nominated producer Darryl Neudorf, fans got their first taste of the record with the title track’s stop-motion video. Primo Sketch Comedy group created a hilarious infomercial for the record, watch it here. Join Language Arts for their album release show April 10 at the Horseshoe Tavern. Kaiser Chiefs return with their fifth studio album and first since the departure of Nick Hodgson, ‘Education, Education, Education and War’. The band paired with producer Ben H. Allen III (Gnarls Barkley, Animal Collective, Deerhunter) who said of working on the record “They came really ready to prove something to the world, and the songs are really good. (Feb. 20, 2014) Today, Kaiser Chiefs unveil the music video for ‘Coming Home’ on VEVO. The song is their first single from their upcoming album, and was revealed on A.V. Club last week. ‘Education, Education, Education & War’, the band’s fifth album, will be released on April 1st, 2014 via ATO Records/MapleMusic Recordings. Kaiser Chiefs Share ‘Bows & Arrows’ New Track from ‘Education, Education, Education & War’ Out April 1st

Kaiser Chiefs have revealed another song from their upcoming album, Education, Education, Education & War, scheduled for release on April 1, 2014 through ATO Records/MapleMusic Recordings. The ten-track collection was written in London, Los Angeles and Nashville, recorded at The Maze Studio in Atlanta, Georgia and mixed at Electric Lady Studios by Michael Brauer (My Morning Jacket, Coldplay) with producer Ben H. Allen III (Gnarls Barkley, Animal Collective, Deerhunter).

Kaiser Chiefs announced the album before the Christmas holiday with the song ‘Misery Company’ which has gained instant popularity in the UK with playlist support from BBC 6Music and XFM Daytime. The new collection shows an evolution in maturity of songwriting and sound, and deftly executes a wide array of the band’s influences.

Kaiser Chiefs Announce 5th Album “Education, Education, Education & War” Out April 1st

Kaiser Chiefs have announced that they will release their fifth studio album, Education, Education, Education & War on April 1st, 2014 via ATO Records and MapleMusic Recordings. The ten-track collection was written in London, Los Angeles and Nashville, recorded at The Maze Studio in Atlanta, Georgia and mixed at Electric Lady Studios by Michael Brauer (My Morning Jacket, Coldplay)  with producer Ben H. Allen III (Gnarls Barkley, Animal Collective, Deerhunter).

Songs including ”Coming Home”, ”Misery Company” were introduced in various guises during the band’s 2013 live shows including the Lollapaolloza Festival in South America, London’s Hyde Park and during their giant homecoming show at Leeds Arena in September.  ”Misery Company” was called “a dark, Clockwork Orange whirl” by The Guardian, while Q Magazine’s recent in-studio piece found the band “at their indignant best”. The record shows an evolution in maturity of songwriting and sound, and deftly executes a wide array of the bands influences.
